The San Jacinto Seminary Alumni Association (SJSAA) is a non-stock and non-profit organization. It is composed of seminarians and ex-seminarians who graduated from the San Jacinto Seminary (SJS), located in Alimannao Hills, Peñablanca, Cagayan Valley, under the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao.

On October 20, 2016, Lawin or known as “Haima” internationally, was the strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines this year. The typhoon claimed many lives and caused nearly $2 billion dollars worth of damage. The howling winds and torrential rains, toppled power and communication lines and displaced thousands of families in northern Luzon, specially Cagayan Valley.

The officers of the SJSAA not respond as they themselves were victims of the super-typhoon so the members of the SJSAA located in Manila took action. They convened, gathered unaffected members and organized an Interim Relief Operation Committee for the purpose of raising material and monetary assistance and subsequently conducted immediate relief operations. Due to limited resources, the interim committee on behalf of the SJSAA, has agreed to involve the participation and cooperation of other entities and organizations to support this humanitarian response.
